Capital Wind Farm

Project Details

Eptec carried out the maintenance of the 67 turbines in the Capital Wind Farm and of the newly constructed Woodlawn Wind Farm, located near Bungendore in New South Wales.

The project comprised work to the entire structure including mechanical cleaning, application of protective coating and fibreglass repairs to the shafts, frames, cells, hubs and transformers.

The objective is to maintain the wind towers in excellent condition whilst minimising the operating downtime.

It required a specific working at heights training for work to be carried out on top of the wind towers which are 80 metres in the air.
